Deeds
We can help you complete the transfer of real property, including your marital home, according to the terms included in your Judgment of Divorce. You may need a deed transfer if:
- The property is deeded jointly yet one spouse will keep the house post-divorce,
- You intend to maintain the property together, as “joint tenants” until some point in the future, such as when a child moves out or the property sells.
In these cases, we can help you obtain a copy of your current deed and help prepare a new deed reflecting the appropriate transfer to the person or persons retaining the property.
Mediation
Our mediators can help you come to equitable agreements with your spouse if you both get stuck and can’t come to terms.
QDRO Retirement Account Transfers
We can prepare Qualified Domestic Relations Orders (QDROs) to divide your 401(k)s, IRAs, and retirement accounts according to your Judgment of Divorce.
